This Day in Wells Fargo HistoryMay 14, 1884

Wells Fargo appointed Cassie Hill as its agent in Roseville, California. Hill also managed the town’s rail depot and telegraph office while raising five children. She stayed on the job until 1908; one of hundreds of women who ran Wells Fargo offices.
