This Day in Wells Fargo HistoryMay 9, 1869

The transcontinental railroad was almost complete. This day, a Wells Fargo stagecoach made the last run between unfinished tracks of the Central Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads. The stage crossed the eight-mile gap in forty minutes.
