We offer tours year-round to any group of 10 or more visitors. Tours last 1 to 2 hours, depending on the group’s needs.

  • Discussion of our exhibits.
  • A simulation “stagecoach ride” in a reproduction stagecoach body.
  • Shopping (optional). We have various items for sale, such as pencils, postcards, and stuffed animals.
  • A 15-minute financial literacy activity (optional). For school groups only. Non-commercial and curriculum-based. You will be given more information about it when you book.

Group Size

  • Minimum of 10 visitors (including supervisors)
  • Maximum of 70 students
  • If you would like to bring more than 70 students, please divide the group and book multiple tours either at different times on the same date, or on different dates.

Tour Times

  • Any time between 9:30am-12pm, and 1pm-4pm
  • Tours last 1 to 2 hours, depending on the group’s needs

Important to Note

  • Please book as soon as possible. Some groups book a year in advance. March & April are our busiest months; dates in these months go quickly.
  • Please book at least a week in advance. (Exceptions can sometimes be made).
  • If you do not yet have all your arrangements made, you can still call the Museum and hold a date for one week. If we do not receive a booking after this time, the hold will be released.

Transportation Options For School Groups

We understand that schools can have a difficult time funding the transportation to the Museum. Here are some options:
  • Carpooling. If you get parents to carpool, please share this very important parking information with them. Learn More
  • LADOT charter bus program. Free or subsidized charter bus services to attend educational, recreational or cultural events in the region. Learn More
  • Metro Student Field Trip Program. Free public transportation to certain destinations, including our museum. Learn More

  • Target grants. Grants are up to $700; you must apply between Aug. 1 and Sept. 30. Learn More
