No. 215a Sent by Alta Express Co. to Auburn, California, where it was forwarded to Mrs. Nancy S. Webster in Bethel, Vermont.

No. 216 Sent by Anderson’s Pony Express from Mountain City to Denver in Colorado, which was considered part of the Kansas Territory at the time. It was then forwarded by the Overland Mail to Mrs. James M. Dorlan in Downingtown, Chester County, Pennsylvania in 1859.

No. 217 Sent by Anthony and Co.’s Express from San Francisco to the John W. Denver, Secretary of State, in Benicia, California. Letter enclosed is dated June 11th, 1853.
