This Day in Wells Fargo HistoryMay 1, 1941

Wells Fargo established facilities at its two bank branches in San Francisco to handle the sale of U.S. Defense Savings Bonds and stamps. Sales supported America’s war effort, and patriotic purchases by bank customers totaled $17.5 million in 1941.
