Wells Fargo History Museum, Portland, Oregon

Located in the Wells Fargo Center Tower in downtown Portland, this museum explores the roles both Wells Fargo and Oregon played in each others’ history-from the Cal-Oregon Stageline, to riverboats of gold on the Columbia River, to banking and express for Oregon’s communities.

Exhibits include:

  • An authentic 19th century stagecoach
  • An interactive telegraph
  • A life-size reproduction of a turn of the century bank
  • An authentic treasure box used to carry
         gold across the country

New Exhibit; "Wells Fargo in Pop Culture"
Pop culture exhibitPortland, OR—June 9, 2009--The Wells Fargo History Museum will unveil a new exhibit Wells Fargo in Popular Culture on Thursday, June 25th from 11-3. Come see rare artifacts from Wells Fargo’s Archives including a vintage movie poster, early 20th century dime novels, and a rare Matchbox Models of YesterYear Wells Fargo stagecoach. Visit this new exhibit and learn how Wells Fargo became a part of popular culture in the United States and around the world.
Food Drive

Every Month, an estimated 75,000 children eat meals from an emergency food box. The Wells Farog Center in partnership with the Oregon Food Bank ( http://www.oregonfoodbank.org ) is having a food drive through the month of June. The most wanted foods are non-perishables such as:
