Special Event Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 – Take Your Child to Work Day

9am-5pm: Bring your child and enjoy activities all day including a scavenger hunt, building a stagecoach bank, learning about budgeting, and sending a message by telegraph.

Every child who participates in an activity will receive a goodie bag!


Parking is expensive in downtown LA. We strongly recommend using public transportation to get to the museum, or using metered parking near the museum on 3rd St.or Hope St. Meters accept coins or credit cards, and the rate is $4 per hour.

Be advised that the Wells Fargo Center garage rates are $4 every 10 minutes, with a $40 maximum after two hours. The museum cannot validate.

There are several other public parking lots located in the vicinity, including:
Automate Parking: 420 W. 2nd St.
Joe’s Auto Parks: 338 S. Hill St.
Standard Parking: 322 W. 3rd St.

Please be aware that if you wish to visit us at your own leisure, without a guide, you are welcome to do that anytime without an appointment. We are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (closed on bank holidays). Admission is free.
